Hi everyone, Several of you have asked me to share some tangible tips for dealing with various common situations and behaviours that partners in care face. Shifting Focus is a helpful resource - including this new video series. Hope it is helpful: http://www.alzheimer.ca/en/on/We-can-help/Resources/Video-library/Shifting-focus-video-series |

I've also heard of having a coloured toilet seat lid to help people with their depth perception. I've seen some really creative ideas in long term care like making the exits look less like exits with the help of murals and so on. Also, having non glossy floors and not having different kinds of floor surfaces in the same building. Thanks for the ideas Ryley. |
