- Although it was suggested that I contact the Alzheimer’s Society …. I did not, as I just felt that when the person who answered the phone would expect that I would know what services I needed from them. In hindsight, it looks to me like they could have helped me more if I had of known. I relied on the Geriatrics Outreach caseworker to help me. My only disappointment with that experience is the caseworker changed mid-stream … unavoidable as it was due to a retirement, but it was a bit stressful as I had come to rely on this person as an advocate and ally. Luckily new caseworker proved to be as equally compassionate and helpful. |
