Health care tomorrow survey- a comment

Conspicuous by its absence, any reference to (dementia) respite care, my particular bugaboo. I wonder why this issue doesn't seem to be on anyone's radar with the widening burden of care being placed on caregiver shoulders. The survey looks at improving care for our bodies, our dying, our transportation, but perhaps not for our souls. Stress reduction through provision of 'early and often' respite care would have major benefits to both the physical and mental health of a growing segment of the population, namely dementia caregivers. To answer the question what would I need to help ensure my healthy future, access to residential respite stays!

Thanks for taking the time to send this to us Rosemunda. You are certainly not the only care partner/family member making this same request! A good reminder.
