September Lived Experience Network - What's Happening?
The Lived Experienced Café
Hello Lived Experience Network Members,
I would like to invite you to our September Lived Experience Café Live (typed) events on www.dementiacrossroads.ca .
Live Chats? Our first chat is coming up next week on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 6:30-8PM. The Day time chat (same topic) will be on Monday, September 21 from noon to 1pm. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Our topic this month came from one of our lived experience network members “Ryley” and we are calling it: “Who you Gonna Call?” as we discuss some of our experiences, difficulties and successes surrounding navigation of care, finding supports and information. Come prepared to share your lived experiences and even learn from each other.
Face to Face Meetings? I will also be involved in some face to face advisory conversations with Alzheimer Society support groups. Contact your local Alzheimer Society for more information. If you are in the area, please come and join in:
Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Belleville from 10am to 12 noon
Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Brockville from 10 am to 12 noon
Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Perth from 1:30-3:30pm
I hope we will be able to connect either online or in person this month. Thank you for your participation in this important work of sharing the input of lived experience with those who plan, provide and evaluate health care for older adults in our area.
With thanks,
Sharon Osvald
